As reported on and assumed earlier, Booker T will not be making any additional appearances for TNA and that he officially finished up with the company at the Bound For Glory PPV this past Sunday when he was stretchered out. While there have been reports that WWE would have interest in bringing him back, we're told Booker intends to take time off from wrestling for the time being and isn't looking at making an immediate return to WWE anytime soon.

Booker would be contractually available to sign with WWE once his deal with TNA expires in November. Sources close to Booker have stated that while he might be open to doing some international tours, he intends to take some time for himself and focus on his PWA promotion in Texas.

Part of me feels this is a work by WWE and he'll be debuting by the end of the year...

^I have to agree, but who knows... as long as he brings back OLD Booker T and not King Booker, then everything is fine :)

They probably will and put him on Smackdown since they have a lack of Faces....Unless Cena just happens to jump to Smackdown but seriously....

how can Booker's comments about taking time off be a work by the WWE? Even if Booker is working the fans and really does plan to return as quickly as possible to WWE, seeing as he is still under TNA contract he not allowed to negotiate a return to the WWE, so the WWE would have nothing to do with this suposed work.

He can have negotiations with WWE. How do you think Christian joined WWE? He just can't sign a contract with WWE while still under contract with TNA. WWE could just tell Booker to tell people he's not signing with them so it to be a surprise when he does debut, like they wanted Christian to be.

IMO. Booker T needs to retire, His best days are all over. Booker T promos in TNA were pretty good, But his wrestling sucked. But His wrestling in WWE hasn't been that flash either since 2005/2006 era.

Booker to WWE = : (

Unless he's prepared to come back and job for all the young guys then he should stay away.

I'd rather not see Book back in WWE, he really is done and WWE has been decent about pushing some newer guys and Booker would only push them back down.

As far as his promo's in TNA being good...Seriously? Half of the time he didn't even know what gimmick he was doing. I swear I remember watching an Impact where he had like 3 segments and in each one he had a different voice/accent. One minute he's Booker T from harlem, the next he's the king of africa, and then he's a black street thug version of Scott Steiner...

LMAO! It's so fuckin true though. There's this one promo where he sounds like a mix of all three... I gotta find it.

WWE isn't going to want his ass back. Let him stick to his wrestling school. TNA was really his last chance to be relevant and he fucked that up too. TNA is finally heading in the right direction and has actually been quite good lately. WWE is starting to push some younger talent as well. Both companies are better off without King Book-ah!

No he can not. Its against the law. If the WWE talks to him and negotiates with him or any TNA contracted worker it is called Contract Tampering. Christian like others returned quickly because they tell everyone that will listen, I want to go back to the WWE when my contract expires. So the WWE prepares a contract. The only contact the WWE can have is to ask when is contract expires and that there intrested in speaking with him when his contract expires. They can not make him an actual offer or deal.

Lots of times to avoid contract tampering, just as the wrestlers tell all there friends about there desire to go else where, the companies in turn hearing someone's intrest in coming in start telling others what they might consider offering these people should they seriously return. This is why contract details for wrestlers are usually pretty well known. This is also why wrestlers including Christian don't usually show up right aways.

In the case of Christian the WWE knew when he was officially out of contract and contacted him right aways, offered him a deal. He didn't show up the next day in WWE. It was a few weeks, and during that time there probably was some back and forth.

I don't think his promos were necessarily bad.. that was just part of his character, acting ridiculous like that (like Steiner..). I found it funny every now and then like the time he just sat there and stared at a door for at least 30 seconds after fighting with Angle, loool.

Cena goes to smackdown, booker as a face back on raw. It all makes sense now. And here is me thinking umaga was going to go on raw.

Lol, do you really think anybody in WWE creative or anybody with some authority in WWE sees Booker T as a suitable replacement for John Cena.
