Which would you rather be?

The stereotype of a street smart person is someone who is intelligent and knows how to handle important situations in the streets but is not as well-educated academically. However, the stereotype of a book smart person is someone who is upper-class and well educated but less knowledgeable when it comes to handling important situations faced in bad neighborhoods and lower-class city areas.

Surely everyone would want to be Book Smart going by your defenition of it. I'd be an upper class citizen who was well educated, therefore likely leading into a good job which pays well and allows me to live in a decent neighbourhood where I wouldn't encounter any of the problems from not being Street Smart?

When you're book smart, you can afford to live in the areas where you don't need to be street smart.

There is tons of smart people who struggle because they end up being "overqualified" for a job there for making it seem like you wasted your time, and sometimes a street smart person (which my definition of it is kind of different from yours) ends up finding a way to be successful. So it can't really be generalized as rich if your book smart poor if your street smart.
