- Obviously the big news of the day is Chael Sonnen's suspension in California being upheld. Even a heartfelt appeal from his mom couldn't get him off the hook. Mrs. Penn sympathizes.
- Tim Burke claims that this is good for The Ultimate Fighter 14. I think he's crazy.
- The Tournament of Bad is continuing to work its way through round 1. "David Spade's airplane shooters" is a wonderful entrant that is highly unlikely to make it very far. So enjoy it while it is around.
- PR Cole wrote a fascinating article about carbohydrates for athletes.
- One of Strikeforce's top lightweights gets to step back into the cage June 18 as it was announced KJ Noons will face Jorge Masvidal at Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum. There had been some talk that KJ was frustrated with the lack of fights being made for him and was even looking to get a boxing match scheduled but that had been shot down by Zuffa. Good to see him back in the cage.
- Manny Pacquiao's next fight is scheduled for November 12. His bout with Juan Manuel Marquez should be fun to watch, but it may also be a one sided beating. That's what you get when you're far and away the best in the world though.
- Dallas G. Winston took a look at Leo Santos' fight at BAMMA 6, it serves as a nice reminder to not just look at a fighter's win/loss record and assume you know anything about the man.
