“I just signed another TV deal, which I haven’t announced yet. I saw someone in wrestling media wave off the NWA’s success, but I don’t know a lot of companies out there that have three television deals as an independent solely funded by me,”

“We’re really fighting a lot of wars here not only to create a wrestling product that fans will like but also to beat the world’s perception that it can’t be done. That unless you have a billion dollars in your pocket you can’t manifest enough energy,” Corgan continued. “But what people don’t understand is I’m one of the only people in the world who understands how to take something literally from nothing and take it to the top of the mountain multiple times. I know it can be done with faith, dedication, and hard work. It will be interesting to see the behind-the-scenes stuff going on, which by the way is not work, but true and honest stuff that is happening. I insisted on real and organic storylines. It will be interesting to see if people perceive that as integrity or weakness on the part of the company. I think it’s a strength because we have nothing to hide.”

Yeah, I wouldn’t. They have more exposure on YouTube.

The only thing I have to assume that makes this a deal worth it is CW is at least paying them.

What's even the other deal he means? The reality show? I thought that was on the app too and I wouldn't count that as a separate deal if it's the same medium

I looked and that too is on the app.

No the reality show about his wedding is on the actual network. They might move it to the app after it airs though.

I guess technically they could be separate deals as in he's paid separate amounts and the two shows aren't lumped together as a package

To be fair, I don’t necessarily think the NWA product is that bad anymore at least not since Tyus dropped the belt because well he sucks, but also he’s made a lot of changes to the way he does things but the NWA problem is they haven’t been able to create buzz since the pandemic started and nobody ever thinks to themselves I look forward to watching the next NWA show, especially now that they’re on an app that I quite frankly have no interest in using.

Because theyre not promoting anything. Also their last PPV wasnt even a PPV....it was a PPV masked as a tv taping.

The smartest thing I think they’ve done though since is restarting the territories. Putting the NWA brand on the smaller feds, gives the brand exposure and continues its original legacy. I wouldn’t be surprised if this new deal has something to do with exploring the many territories and the process of becoming one.

Yeah, I noticed that they’ve taken over the MLW style of doing pay-per-view that are actually just cut into TV shows. I think it has something to do with The CW deal as I guess whatever they’re paying them. They want all their content on the app.

I will say though they are also putting on what they call signature live events on the app too.

So it's all on CW now? That would probably explain why I stopped hearing about them, people were at least willing to buy PPVs on Fite it seems (just basing this off how little I hear good or bad about them from before the deal)
