CM Punk has his fans, but most of them watch the show no matter who's on it (and many now watch over Youtube, thanks Hoss!) so Punk isn't drawing in any new viewers. Cena segments have been getting more eyeballs on the product, while Punk is only putting smiles on the faces of longtime fans which isn't doing anything for them business-wise.

the point is he is a draw!

He is a draw, probably the 7th or 8th biggest draw in WWE

Cena draws in chicks as well and sadly he also has adult male fans. To say Punk is a bigger draw than Cena is moronic

Even the Summer of Punk really didn't draw ratings iirc, and most of the adult fans have turned on the guy due to this Blue character. But they're still watching because, well, that's what they've always done.

Nah Summer of Punk = Drawing success. So many fans were brought back around that period, they just all left again by Summerslam.

Randy, you don't understand what a draw is. It doesn't matter if you're cheered. Orton is one of the most cheered wrestlers in WWE but he's not a big draw at all.

So what you're saying is that the old fans came back to see CM Punk, but left when Kevin Nash showed up? Sounds about right!

Of course I wasn't part of a forum then so I didn't do as much research, so yeah, you could be right with the Summer of Punk.

The thing with Punk's Summer is that it wasn't solely Punk that drew, the entire storyline going on with him against the WWE was the big deal. WIth a strong story like that most people could draw, not diminishing Punk as he exceled on that role but the story drew most of the viewers and etc.

You are horribly wrong here Randy. Cena draws a lot of kids yes, but he also draws a lot of adult women and also a large group of adult males. Cena is by far the biggest over all draw in the business today.

You also seem confused about what a draw is. Someone being cheered does not equal someone being a draw. As Crayo pointed out Randy Orton is insanely cheered but he is not considered a top draw. A draw has the appeal and interest factor to make people tune in to watch week after week. Punk, whilst a extremely cheered guy by the live crowd just isn't interesting enough to draw viewers on a level of guys like Austin, Rock, Cena and Hogan in his prime. Something about Punk puts people off from him. At the moment guys that can become top draws in WWE in my humble opinion with a bit of work is Zack Ryder (dude is insanely over and just needs time to grow), Dolph Ziggler (insanely talented, charismatic and over as hell), Sheamus (there is a reason he is being groomed to be Cenas replacement), Daniel Bryan (He proved during his WHC reign that he could draw for the blue brand), Seth Rollins (That guy is future money big time).
