"I want to let you know flat out there's not anybody good enough to take my position," Show said. "And I'm certainly not going to give my position up just because I've been on top for a while, and nor would anyone else.

If there's another giant that can walk in and take my position, then good for him. He can run with it and I'll retire. Until then I'm going to work on top as long as I can, make as much money as I can and entertain the fans as much as I can. It's up to the younger generation to come to the locker room, step up and be leaders."

Yeah, just what we need Show, another fat nearly immobile big man to replace you upon your departure. I could think of a of hell of a lot of people who would have been better than Big Show in the whole Jericho role.

I actually had high hopes upon opening this thread thinking maybe this will change my mind about Big Show but nope I hate the big tub of shit. He's awfully cocky for somebody that is barely better than Batista on the mic and one of the most sloppy big men in an era of big men that can actually hold their own. Taker, Kane, and Umaga RIP have shown us how real big men should work, Taker/Kane with their height and Umaga with his weight. Umaga never said a word and was more over than Big Show. There's no doubt in my mind had things not worked out like they did then Umaga would have been that guy to overtaker Show.

With all this evolution in wrestling talk going on from TNA hopefully WWE will catch on and end this big man love. NOBODY wants to see these sloppy jag offs take up spots of people who can move in the ring and actually put on a decent match along with a promo. I hate big men wrestling and to me it's as much a disgrace as TNA's Knockout Division. There's always going to be those side show freaks in wrestling so the kiddies can ooh and ahh, fuck that, do us all a favor Show and retire now.

First off, Big Show is way bigger and fatter than Taker and Kane, so the comparison is rather unfair, and Umaga's level of overness doesn't come close to Big Show's, and their careers certainly have no comparison.

Big Show is now not as good as he once was, but he's still certainly impressive. Quite mobile for a big man and willing to take bumps quite frankly he shouldn't be taking.

If there's another giant that can walk in and take my position, then good for him. He can run with it and I'll retire. He's totally right, and is actually speaking the truth. He did gave Khali a rub and then leave when WWE gave Khali the ball.

Big show singled out John Cena for his tremendous work ethic, saying that one of the the reasons he's the face of WWE is because of how bad he wants it. He also named Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and The Miz as stars of the future — adding, "Talent will get you so far, but work ethic is the key. That's the thing that the guys on top have. We don't complain about flights. We don't complain about not going home. We don't complain about having an hour's sleep and then doing interviews at 5am."

Ouch Matt Hardy

LOL...Matt Hardy...master of the self burying Twitter. Yeah, I'm gonna have to say Big Show is a step above "big man" status. Guys like Umaga were nowhere near the size of Show. To be fair though, Kane is nearly the same height as him but Show's fat ass probably outweighs him by a good 100 pounds.

Hell, work ethic will only get you so far. He wants people to step up and be leaders but if/when younger talent tries to be leaders they have to worry about stepping on the Four Horsemen of Raw's toes.

There's been plenty of guys who had talent and great work ethics who were never used and eventually let go.

Big Show is awesome. Not only is he important to the WWE, his type is essential to wrestling. Dudes that height don't come everyday, and dudes with Show's talent are even fewer and too far between. A true giant gives wrestling the "bigger than life" aspect that has made wrestling so successful as a business in general, and for my money, and for his size, Big Show has been the best true giant in wrestling. Better than Andre and the other fat men that have drawn millions. I can't count Taker as he was about half of Show's and Andre's weight.

I don't get what people expect from a dude that's 7ft and 500 pounds. He has that "oh shit, here comes Show" reaction because of his huge stature and is easily over with some decent booking. If your expecting him to be mobile like the cookie cutter underwear models that pollute the WWE landscape you're not going to get that. Plus none of those dudes have proven they can get over, let alone on Show's level.

And about his comments, Good for him. He shouldn't have to give up his spot to some other generic heel that can't even heat up leftovers with a microwave because as few of them that there are, Show HAS EARNED his fuckin spot. Maybe a few have been as consummate a pro as him. He has never, not once complained about putting people over and has done more jobs than his fair share. And his size alone does more to put people over than most, making him quite invaluable.

Yeah, show has paid his dues and earned his spot... but to say his type is "essential" to wrestling I just don't see it. I'm not expecting the guy to be in there executing moonsaults and springboards but as of late the guy has just become so slow and sloppy he's unbearable to watch in the ring. In his prime Show was a force and probably the best giant to step in the ring. As of late he's a serious channel changer. If ever I wanted to illustrate how fake wrestling was to someone I'd have them watch a recent Big Show match.

Show sees himself up there with Hunter, Shawn, Jericho, Taker, all the "lifers". I think some took what he said wrong being that he was saying he wasn't going to put guys over. He spoke right saying that guys should kick it up a notch if they want his respect.

It's easy to take a first glance at these comments and it gets your blood boiling. Because at first glance it sounds like Big Show is another one of these "this is my spot I'm not giving it up for anybody" kinda guys. Like Batista.

But I gotta thank CMS for posting more out of that interview because when you look at it again Big Show definitely sees potential as future main eventers for alot of WWE's mid card talent.

He's not about to lobby to end the push of any up and comer just to keep his spot. He just knows that until there is a proper giant who can work like Big Show does and has the dedication that the rest of the main eventers have to the business, then he's earned his spot as WWE's resident giant and he's there to stay.

As for who could possibly replace him? I don't know. Beyond the Great Khali there really isn't anybody Big Shows size in the business. I think Khali WAS the man to replace Show when he left the first time around. But something happened that caused that ball to be dropped.

I mean, Big Shows only what? 36? He's still got a good 4 years left in him before most people retire from wrestling.

Most men that size do. But the point was that Khali is crazy over in India, and plays a good babyface to the kids and plays a better dominant monster heel. It's all about character in the WWE, seldom about wrestling ability.

He hasn't really been used as a catalyst for young guys for a long time. He's been used for those big name feuds with Undertaker, John Cena & the like.

Him and Jericho had some good programs with Mark Henry & MVP as well as Cryme Tyme though. They weren't exactly "put over" mind you but JTG and Mark Henry respectively looked probably as impressive as they ever had in years going up against them.

Khali made Ziggler look fucking awesome but that was it
