I like RVD, but liked him most during the old ECW days. People talking about putting him against AJ Styles but the thing is RVD has never been 'that fast' of a wrestler. He was more of a high flyer/ karate type fighter. Look at his signature moves
Five–Star Frog Splash
Hollywood Star Press / Split–legged moonsault
450° splash
Van Daminator
Van Terminator
Air Van Dam (Senton bomb)
Bridging northern lights suplex
Monkey flip to a standing or cornered opponent
Multiple kick variations
Windmill Kick (Van Dam catches the opponent's kicking leg and performs a step–over wheel)
Two turnbuckle thrusts followed by a back handspring and finished either with a monkey flip or a final running turnbuckle thrust
None of these moves are very fast or a "out of no where' type of move like many of AJ's. He's a good wrestler and a good high flyer, but not a fast wrestler like some people think he is.
Personally I'd rather see him in TNA because I think they'd let him be more 'extreme' (pardon the pun) but I think he'd put on better matches with slower paced guys in WWE.
