Nah. There was still a good couple of years of tag team wrestling after that triple way dance. Smackdown's tag division in 02-05 was golden with teams like los Guerreros, Angle/Benoit etc etc.

Besides, what can they be blamed for: setting the bar so high no one has topped them since? Being too good at getting over?

they are the guiltiest of the guilty as far as the attitude era over saturating the product with insane shit. As a kid it was swell but now nothing in wrestling seems worth a fuck in comparison. Place the blame where you wish but that certainly isn't a good thing

for me The Road Warriors are the GOAT team. they got over instantly and won titles for every org they worked for

I realize I'm being the jerk here, but the theme of this thread is ever present G-O-A-T.
I love all the tags mentioned, but its difficult to crown Road Warriors when they blew in terms of workrate.
The next best thing would be to have a tourney where we vote on the overall/consensus best tag.
