I could never fully get in to Star Trek myself. Escape from NY was a really entertaining movie, plus one of my favourite performances from an actor.

Escape from New York is good, but its still only mid-tier Carpenter for me (still better than 80% of other films). Wrath of Khan might be the best Trek film ever and everything I want from a Trek film.
