What are some of your guys' favorite SWERVES in movies? Hitchcock made them famous, and in my opinion had the best ones. Be mindful of spoilers while reading this thread because this is obviously going to be full of them, your problem if you get spoiled.

The first Saw cause having him on the floor the entire time was rather cool.
Se7eN cause that ending was just... genius.

One of my favourites was the end of The Others. I was annoyed with myself that I didn't see it coming! Should've guessed when the father mysteriously returned from war only to leave again. Great movie though

If any of you have ever seen Witness for the Prosecution, the last 30 minutes or so of that one had like 8 swerves I didn't see coming at all.

The Usual Suspects is the best one that comes to mind, jaw dropped when the fax came through the machine..... and for some reason the movie Frailty comes to mind, I don't remember the entire movie but I do remember a pretty good swerve at the end

Fight Club and The Usual Suspects were two that came to mind as I was making a thread that I figured a lot of you guys would say. The Empire Strikes Back probably would have been a huge swerve for me if I would have watched it when it came out, but I'm too young so I had already known Darth Vader was Luke's dad long before I ever watched Star Wars.

Holy shit yes! I freaked the fuck out when I watched Saw for the first time. There was absolutely no way to see that coming.

I don't care if I get Jimmy Valiant -like heat for this, but Vanilla Sky was sort of a swerve. Sure, they mentioned the "Lucid Dream" factor throughout the movie, but I didn't think it was predictable at all. It went from being an erotic thriller to a sci-fi film in the last 15 minutes.

I'd have to give a Nod to Identity in here.

All my other favorites were in here. Sixth Sense, Fight Club, The Others, Seven, Usual Suspects. Ta da.

I forgot about Identity. That was a really underrated movie. Great, great ending.
