Simple topic really, just state which movie you think was the best from the year you were born

I was born in 1996, so Trainspotting is probably my favorite from that year, but some honorable mentions would be Sleepers, Fargo, Sling Blade Jerry Maguire, A Time to Kill, & Scream.

Ghostbusters, Temple of Doom, Terminator, The Karate Kid. I win.

Compared to other years, '96 was pretty terrible. No true classics really.

Born in 1987 so probably definitely Lethal Weapon unless Eddie Murphy's Raw counted as a movie.

Aw you had the year that Jerry Maguire ruined. Twister and The Rock are probably the only two that really stand out.

Yeah but The Rock is a Michael Bay film so that counts it out. Twister a good old fashioned disater movie, with enjoyable characters. Like Jerry Maguire too, one of Cruises better performances and Renee Zwaliger is great in it.

The Elelphant Man for mine. Will have to think of some more, think Fame came out the same year but have still not seen that. Never been a big Shining fan so won't be including that.

Tell Cuba how great Jerry Maguire was...

Had no idea the Rock was Bay made it before he made a joke of himself. 96 also had Independence Day. My ability to deliver the presidents speech got me the lead of a play which got me laid for the first time so I have a profound place in my heart for that film.
