A few guys come to mind is John Cena and The Miz. Cena started on his improvement on the mic after the rapper thing went on more and then his in ring improvement really started to show somewhere in 06 and then fully improved in 07. Miz always had charisma obviously just took him a little bit for it to start to show in a good way. His in ring improvement still has long ways to go probably will never be top 10 in that department but he gets better every year.

I'd have to say The Miz and Dolph Ziggler (Yeah he's been around for a long time now). I'd say Cody Rhodes as well, those guys.

Cena as well... A lot have came a long way.

Batista.

He went from limited power house to tag worker to WC Champ. Then he went on to improve his wrestling and rally carry SD while having good outings with the likes of Burke, MVP, Morrison and so on, which culminated with him and Taker at WM23. Then he went heel and became the Polo Pimp, cutting amazing promos about kissing babies and hugging fat girls. He grew the most in the past decade to become a well rounded performer imo. He always had the look, but he became a good worker in the ring and on the mic, to top off the fact that he was easily 1B to Cena by miles in comparison to the rest of the roster in this era.

Wow out of all the people I thought someone would choose, they choose Dave "injured again" Batista. Batista played a good heel but other than that, he's probably one of the most overrated wrestlers ever. His face character sucks and he consistently botched. This is a true example of Vince loving big guys and pushing them. In the era, that's a funny statement. Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Triple H were all bigger than Batista in that era with big matches and consistent performances. You can also put the Undertaker in there and of course Edge (how did I almost forget him). Jericho could count too, but he didn't have the world title enough. Nevertheless Batista is so overrated and isn't even close.

My pick is The Miz mainly because he came from a background where he had little wrestling ability. Dolph went to Kent State and is a great athlete. Miz worked from the very bottom to improve to make himself relevant. He needed to work his ass off for people to take him seriously in the ring and he finally did. I'm so proud of Miz and his accomplishments, he's incredible.

The Miz.

As a person who seen him from the real world to now, I have got to say miz. I actually have enjoyed seeing him grow as not only a person but a wrestler and a character.

The Miz.

He´s the greatest mic worker in todays WWE and his in ring skills are not that much bad. He always comes out with something new.
At the second place it´s Dolph Ziggler. In The Spirit Squad he was such an asshole. Now? Perfect on the mic, awesome champion and his wrestling skills getting better and better every week. He´s really Perfection.

I'd have to say... The Miz. The guy went from an unknown that came from a crap reality show to the WWE and its like... who is this guy and why is he even here? Then from there he was paired with Morrison after Mercury had to go and... again it was like who is this guy and why should I even care what he does or says? But somehow out of that he got noticed and started shining with Morrison. But then his star started shining brighter and he soon started becoming a bigger star and given more mic time and eventually he became a world champion and main event WrestleMania. Now that in itself is such a huge feat.

Yeah his wrestling skills... he will never be a top 10 wrestler of all time but the guy has gone from an unknown reality show person to almost a household name. Now if that isn't AWESOME improvement... I dunno what is. They have a lot of trust invested in him. Beating Cena at Mania AND being one of the guys to main event with The Rock in his grand return to the ring.

option 2. Dolph Ziggler. From cheerleader to bonifide star... what more needs to be said?

You know that Dave carried SD without Rey, Edge, and Taker who were on the shelf far more right? You might want to remember how much time those three actually missed and how he was there on UPN and the CW carrying SD. In fact he only missed a prolonged period of time once on the brand, which is when he had to give the title up. They all missed far more time. But unlike them Dave drew when they were still out. He could still get brand only buys and keep attendance high while working with gems like Khali. He was the common theme for the brand the also decade and overwhelming funding source for revenue.

You know that he was the number three draw behind Cena and HHH and SDs number 1 draw period right?

You know he unlike Jericho actually could headline Mania because he was A list star right? As for Jericho, don't even reach here. He was never a real main eventer. He was never a real draw. He could never headline Mania as the face challenger because he could never generate buys and buzz. He had to be the chicken shit heel with a McMahon in his corner so Trips and Stephn could draw for him.

You know that the ratings for his reigns on both brands took a dump on HBK, Taker, Edge, Rey, Randy, Punk, Eddie, Jericho, Show, Henry, Kane, Jeff, Miz, and JBL right?

When it came to selling tickets, getting ppv buys, and getting viewers Dave was clearly only behind Trips and Cena who spent most their time on Raw. His SD numbers trump the other guys best work as does his Raw numbers.

And before this year Orton wasn't a better main event worker. He didn't have the fans behind him like Batista during his matches for most his reigns. And even with the pop he gets the actual attendance, merch sales, and viewership he draws makes him a joke in comparison because those same fans won't put dollars behind him making a joke of a main guy for any brand?

Taker and Michaels were more beloved for tenure and had more longevity but neither were bigger for the decade as a whole. No one came before him outside of Trips and Cena, and no one else came close to him as an actual asset from the rest of the roster, unless if you are going to bring Brock into the discussion, who had a very short window.

John Cena

Guys like Miz, Ziggler, Rhodes etc. all have legitimate claims as well, but Cena's improvement was on a much larger scale. Cena started as a heel on Smackdown where he relied on rest holds and editing and his shortcomings became apparent once he was moved to Raw in 2005. For the next year or two I was among the majority of fans who couldn't stand him. But Cena has undeniably improved leaps and bounds to become what he is now; The go-to guy for high profile matches and an all-rounder who can deliver in a variety of situations.

You bring up ratings and all of this other crap yet were talking about actually improving. Kids probably like all the big guy stuff and powerbombing people. I don't give a damn about ratings at all because it's all fixed. I didn't watch wrestling from 06 to 08 main reason why I got out of him was because watching punks like him main eventing. This guy never had it in my opinion and I've always been negative about him. His heel run was fun but other than that, Batista is a guy that always pisses me off. I'm trying to be unbias here but in the end, how is Batista the pick. The guy is such a jackass that he left because he can't be PG. Oh their is nothing PG about me, yeah your cool Dave. You rip Jericho for not being a ratings draw which is fine. But if you think Batista is anywhere near Jericho's level then your clueless. Ratings mean nothing to me because fans are so hit and miss. Ratings are meant for the whole product, not just one guy.

If you did not watch from 06 to 08, what gives your opinion of his skills or about the time frame period, merit? You are saying you did not see his progression where he was having long tv matches every week and stating abouthim being injury prone when Edge, Rey, and Taker all missed more time. You do not know what you are talking about point blank and basically said you just don't like him, so I will bash him for the hell of it despite not watching him or the product to truly knowing what was going on. LOL @ that and invalidating your own claims

Just because I didn't watch from 06 to 08 doesn't mean I haven't seen his matches. I saw several Batista matches with Taker, Edge, and Khali. It was dull and "same old crap", Batista isn't innovate. You seem like a guy that loves a guy that can draw. I don't care it's all about talent with me. Batista lacked the unpredictable factor and I could always see what he's going to do next. I do know what I'm talking about because many people think Batista is one of the most overrated guys all time. If he wasn't big, he would be crap. Like I said if you think he's better than Jericho, then I'll think you work for creative. I hate people that look at if they draw over more talent.

The funniest thing is Psych goes on his usual rant discrediting every superstar possible so he can stay in prime position on Dave's dick, yet not one single point was made that actually related to the topic in hand.

Ratings are by far important to how much a guy has improved, if you improve, the more chance you are of drawing, look at Cena, when he first started, no chance in hell he would draw but as he improved, so did his drawing power, the whole Idea Dave Batista is overrated is nonsense, he's not on the same level as say Cena, Flair, Taker, Misawa, Foley, Vader or Funk, guys in the top ten bracket but he's certainly a lot better than the likes of Shawn Michaels in the sense he can draw and work a decent match.

If you're trying to be unbias, it's floored, calling a Batista a prick is opinionated and very objective turn on this whole whose the most improved business - Obviously Cena is the most improved over all, but Dave Batista is right up there... Batista is certainly close to Jericho, even above Jericho in some key aspects of wrestling, such as draw power but Jericho's flash and substance on the microphone make up for he's lacking, Jericho is a 90s boy, Batista managed to headline a PPV solo on many occasions, including a Wrestlemania and carried Smackdown on his back through out the entire 07 Period. Jericho merely saved people from boring matches during his 09 infamous run with the IC title and Tag Belts.

Jericho has not, Jericho's first title reign, was heavily protected by the likes of Rock, Austin and Hunter facing off against him - second time round, apparently 'HBK' saved his ass on buyrates which is nonsense, but the clear involvement of Batista and Cena assist him in getting the desired buyrates, so almost your entire argument is pretty flawed.

Not surprised however, your argument is denied.

I'm talking about actual wrestling ability and promos. The kids loved Batista because he was big, beat up bad guys, and protected the good. That is how he got over just like Cena. It's all about kids which is why I don't give a crap about ratings. It's a kids game your playing and it's something that I don't play. My argument isn't denied because I judge true good talent something that Batista really wasn't. We both have different mindsets on what makes a great wrestler. I'm totally against caring about the ratings because of how inflated it can be. So I'm done debating.

As for Sayians, well I don't know him too well. If he dick rides Batista, well thats a horrible choice to dick ride. I'd recommend someone that can actually handle the PG product and isn't prone to tearing his hamstring while he's walking.
