Gonna take a star in the dark and assume most people here never actually watched the French silent film.

But I have and it gets my vote bc it's amazing. Nightmare is great though so I'm not gonna be upset about it moving on for awhile, though I was kinda surprised it was the number one seed. I'd call that overrated just bc there's quite a few horror films I like better, but it wasn't number one on many lists, it just had the benefit of being on a lot of people's lists

I love Nightmare on Elm Street but Nosferatu is just an undeniable classic. I'm gonna have to go with Nos.

Nightmare was on mine but since I’ve never seen Nosferatu I’ll have to abstain from voting in this

Nosferatu is an unbelievable classic in every regard. It's still properly terrifying at times and FW Murnau is one of the greatest Silent Era film directors of all time. Max Schrek is incredible as Count Orlock.

Nightmare on Elm Street is a great film nonetheless though.

Tough choice for me. Was lucky enough to see a cinema screening of Nosferatu a few years ago. I liked it but have only seen it once. Nightmare is a true original of its era (just like Nosferatu was for its). Freddy is one of the great Slasher characters, Nancy top two for final girls (just behind Laurie from Halloween), the practical effects are awesome too. It still holds up to this day. Unpopular maybe but I think 3's even better :p

A bit of food for thought from some of the best filmmakers ever.

I am giving it too Noseferatu as much as I love Robert Englund and even though Nose wasn't on my list I got to give the credit for the film as a horror classic to still be a great horror movie that has stood the test of time.

Nosferatu almost pulled up the biggest upset in WrestlingSmarks tournament history (not gonna fact check that), but Nightmare came through and won
