even if he were, which sounds like he is not, he still isn't a draw in any capacity
I disagree. He's still an attraction. It's like checking out a show knowing Charles Manson's kid will be appearing.
If you knew, for a fact, one of Charles Manson's children were to appear on a popular network, would you not watch?
Wrestling still a circus and, David Benoit, is still a welcomed a addition.

I disagree.

If this were Cody Hall we are talking about. sure. he has size, the look, mobility, ect.

Hearing Scott Hall has a son with those attributes training to become a wrestler is intriguing.

hearing Benoit's scrawny ass son is going to appear somewhere isn't appealing in any capacity

The Benoit name probably still holds some clout in Canada.

Also is Cody Hall still a cheap imitation of his dad, Dibiase Jr style?

Yes and yes.

People probably would come to watch a Benoit out of the freakshow aspect, especially in Canada.

And ye, Cody is still just doing the "I'm Scott Hall's son schtick" and asking PWG on twitter why he wasn't booked for BOLA. Was pretty lol.

Just doesn't make sense to me. If Mike Tyson had a son who was 125 lbs and not a boxer nobody would care.

Agree with the Benoit point completely.

Nobody seems like a stretch. I'd bet many people would care. I believe you're downplaying the social aspects of human tragedy.
When JFK was killed people followed his kid around for the simple fact he was JFK's son.
Nepotism goes further in getting you ahead than education can in many cases.

JFK's kid was a legit politician. Benoit's son is a legit jabronie. Big difference.

So you're telling me had he not been JFK's son, he'd still be a politician that people cared about?
It seems like you're pulling straws to justify your argument. Politics is full of nepotism for the simple fact of nepotism.
David Benoit is a young kid who hasn't learned to wrestle yet, but his name alone WILL get him looks.
Wrestling isn't a legit sport. Why do you think Vickie Guerrero was even invited to join WWE in the first place?
There are countless names in entertainment that are making cheese simply because of their last name.

If he was a talented and shrewd politician. Yes
Point taken, but D'Z is trying to argue that nepotism plays no role in garnering a spotlight.
He saying nobody cares about David Benoit. The fact is if David Benoit wanted to get on a talk show and talk about his Dad, people would care.

This goes for any child of a star, particularly if that child is the son of a 'cold, blooded' murderer.

He is right though. No one cares about David Benoit in the wrestling business. They care about the fact that he is Chris Benoits surviving son.

Davids name does not carry weight in the wrestling business. His fathers and his fathers gruesome acts do. And David chosing to get into this business is plain stupid since he will carry that on his shoulder by being the next in kin.

Don't you think that's semantics, though? He is David Benoit and he is Chris Benoit's surviving son.
Sure, they don't care about him, but they do care about what he comes with.
You can't just say, 'I think you're worthless, but I want you around because you'll make me money'.
I see where you're coming from, but wrestling isn't a pure. Wrestling is driven by money and circus acts.
If wrestling were morally upright, David Benoit would be turned down by every promoter in the business.

Are we talking about him being a draw or being given a chance? Because it seems to be going back and forth.

Obviously being David Benoit nets him a chance. He grew up around wrestlers and has an easy in if he wants to try out wrestling. That doesn't mean people want to pay to see him appear
