On this very day - January 8 - just 21 short years ago in 2004, a user by the name of Wolf Beast (an all time bad username - beaten only by it's anagram of 'Belfast Ow') on a wrestling forum far, far away ... embarked on creating a 'Be The Booker' project. Little did I know at that time that the thread would ultimately run for five years of thread time across two different forums from 2004-2021. A sad indictment of my personal life, for sure. But for the most part, it was a thread that was warmly received and even at times could be described as a critical success.
Unfortunately, those days are over, as is my own days of writing BTB's since the closure of the last forum I frequented. However, after a little over two years in the wilderness, I have the itch to at least re-post the back catalogue - how long that make take is another question - so that perhaps that project can live on to be seen by a whole new audience on a board that is active. I intend to cut the Jan 04-late 05 period into just a few posts (a number of the shows in that period weren't that well written and quite a few have been lost in the ether) before the painstaking process of everything that followed until WrestleMania 25.
I'll look to post the shows in as close to the format they were originally presented in (in PDF form - I have neither the time or inclination to format everything again) although a number of graphics that various kind hearted souls created for me in years gone by may no longer be available. The frequency of posts will most likely vary, based on my own willingness and motivation - I may post three shows in three days then disappear for three weeks - but will make make a start this weekend with a recap of the goings on throughout Year 1, wrapping up with my first WrestleMania - WrestleMania 21.
