When/why did you become interested in politics, and what is your favourite area of study in political science?

Also, are you weirded (shut up spellcheck I'm making that a word) out about how similar we are as much as I am?

I always kinda had an interest in school when I was younger when we did Politics units, and I guess I grew enthusiasm for it. Granted it also can be fairly depressing, especially today, but as Plato said "Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber."

When it comes to the areas, typically in Poli sci there are four main areas and each I know decently well. The first is Domestic, where you mainly focus on your own country. I like this because compared to the US... IT IS BORING MOST THE TIME AND BORING IS GOOD, MEANING SHIT IS RUNNING SMOOTHLY! Plus I like knowing about my home country. Then there is comparative where you look at other country's affairs. I've enjoyed it and for example, I took a class on Latin American Politics. Therefore, I know more about how to tackle immigration from that region than the US President. Then, International Politics, basically describes how different states/countries, interact globally and when I study this, I often focused on Canada/US relations. Then Political Philosophy, the theory and backbone of why government happens and where authority comes from. I like all of them to a degree.

And if you think about it, we are on a Wrestling forum, a place where we go for a common interest, it isn't farfetch'd (or Sirfetch'd) that we'd have similar interests.
