The idea of citizens having a right to just freely bear arms is actually kinda disturbing to me. Police and military should be the only ones allowed to have access to firearms, but the problem is you can't really ban all guns at this point successfully because it'll just create a black market for criminals to get a hold of guns and leave all normal tax paying citizens basically defenseless. That's why I don't think it's a bad idea to own a gun, as long as others can just so easily get a hold of one (I don't own a gun, but probably should.) If someone can wave their magic wand and come up with a feasible plan to successfully get rid of all guns though, then I'll be all for it.

I think they should look into screening better for gun purchases for sure, possibly making some kind of block where you have to meet certain standards to own one. But to outlaw them now, completely, will leave regular 9-5 people defenseless.

Maybe they should follow Chris Rock's advice and try Bullet Control instead of Gun Control... Charge $1000 for every bullet.
