WCW absolutely started doing more PPVs first. WCW did most things first.

They were almost monthly for awhile before WWE I think, probably 10 or so a year? Don't think they were fully 12 though

Expanded PPV and then monthly PPV. Live weekly show, every week. 2-hour prime-time show. 3-hour prime-time show. Two prime-time shows.

They were way ahead of the curve on the 3 hour show thing

WCW went to 5, then 8, then 10, then 12. WWE always expanded theirs shortly after WCW did.

the 3 hour primetime show is not a thing I'm a fan of

but, I understand the motivd

I don't want to say that bc I still believe a 3 hour primetme show COULD be good, but I didn't care for Nitro most of the time it was 3 hours or Raw since it has been...but like I think that's just more how the companies were at the times than the fact that the show happens to be 3 hours then as well

3-hours is no different than a 2-hour show to me. When it's good I want it, when it's bad I don't.
