When has he ever gotten a tremendous amount of heat? People say he did during his short title reign back in 2010, but I don't remember it. The company supposedly even took the title off of him because he didn't get over as much as they wanted him to. I don't remember there being much heat at all during his program with Del Rio.

He is pretty sound in the ring, but that's usually not enough to get me to care about you unless you're a Chris Benoit-caliber performer who can get a **** match out of a broomstick.

2010 was pretty big for him IIRC. I can accept what you're saying the latter part of your post. I much prefer sound wrestlers than guys who talk a good game and put on crapfest matches.
