I don't think losing the belt to Claudio fucked Gresham over at all, really. It's not the end of the world for the dude to lose the title. I understand it meant a lot to him to carry the banner but Tony obviously wanted a change of direction for his character and he probably would have gone on to have a great run if he rolled with it.

I was just gonna say that AEW did a pretty bad job handling him in the build up.

Definitely if you only exposure to Gresh was what you saw on AEW TV, then he probably didn't make a good impression with how jumbled his booking felt.

At the end of the day though, I feel like the guy is allowed to do what he wants with his career. He didn't like the situation, so he's looking to move on and that's fine. Most companies will probably be happy to let him do his Foundation stuff to his heart's desire.
