Batista's MMA Debut Scheduled For May

Does he have any previous real wrestling under his belt, I'm not to familar with anything he did pre WWE

If not Batista is going to get destroyed unless they throw him in against a complete bum. Being a big son of a bitch only gets you so far, want to see what happens when he takes a punch square to the face.

No, he was a powerlifter & nightclub bouncer before WWE, has no amateur background at all.

Plus Booker T allegedly beat the shit out of him legit a few yrs back.

BAMMA is a shit pile tho. Mostapha Al Turk cleaned out the roster a while back, just for emphasis.

He's been training in for a few years apparently while still in WWE. Don't know how good he is at it but I still don't see him being successful.

Dave has been doing MMA training since he got hurt way back in 06 and had to forfeit the belt. He credited that and the fact he wanted to steal the show in his upcoming feud with Taker being why he improved in the ring. So I guess that puts his training somewhere around early 2007 and late 2006.

The only questions are:
- How good is he at it since practice and application are two different beasts?
- Can he do it at his age and with his body that has already been worn down do to WWE?

I wish him the best and hope he hits it big in MMA or realizes it isn't for him and returns to WWE because I enjoy watching the guy on my TV.

He'll do fine and Bama and will prob take care of all the bums they throw against him, but after that I don't see him getting anywhere near a top promotion. UFC won't touch him and StrikeForce would take him just cause there the TNA of MMA and go for any big name value. Plus in terms of MMA he's old, he's getting into when most guys are getting out.

I talked the same shit about Hersell Walker though and he has somewhat proved me wrong so who knows.
