I'm bringing this up because I was watching matches online and I really thought how cool it was that they were on an actual beach. I know that they didn't make any money in ticket sales but it must have been a lot of fun to attend. On the screen it looked really cool with the waves in the background and clear blue sky. The matches themselves were somewhat forgettable. Although seeing Renegade again made me laugh a little. For those who are unaware, he was Hogan's attempt to copy the Ultimate Warrior.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else saw this event.

I saw Bash 95 when it aired on PPV. I always thought that the outdoor WCW PPVs and Nitros were cool. The Hog Wild/Road Wild PPVs always had a cool look to them with the motorcycles in the crowd. I also thought that the Spring Break Nitros had a cool vibe to them, I think with at least one wrestler thrown into a pool on all of them. It just looks refreshing to have a show outside, rather than inside. The natural light looks a lot better than any lighting rig can ever look.

^^^Those were pretty cool. Even if the matches sucked the environment made up for it. Wrestlemania 24 was awesome because being outside made it feel like it was larger than life to me.

In the book Death of WCW, they really criticize the Road Wild and Bash 95 because of the zero dollar gate. There must have been some way around that or else they wouldn't have bothered in the first place.
