Usually I try to make up for it by giving town some extra role related balance. Try being the operative word. You can't do that here, though.

Yeah exactly, a vanilla game favours mafia in general so it should be a little under rather than over but I just know it won’t be

in a general game you just make a choice and then make up the balance somewhere else either way
