For the longest time, I was burned out on Corbin and he had Go-Away heat for me. Especially his run before and after he was Raw GM for a bit. Just his character wasn't interesting, he lost his edge from NXT, and even his King Corbin run wasn't the best (see Roman Feud). He did have some matches which stood out on occasion. I think a couple of his matches against Gable were good, early on in his first Smackdown run especially he was a monster perfect for multi-mans, but bad writing and never-ending repeats of matches made him into someone I turned the channel away from if I was watching. It's a shame because in interviews and in footage out of character (like UUDD) he seems like a cool dude and well-spoken, but the character was so tainted for such a long time.
But one of the few things I've seen highlights of was his recent character change to first a poor Corbin, then now "Happy Corbin." Although officially changing his name to "Happy Corbin" is a bit odd, it is warming up to me. He's showing a lot more personality and his comedic chops. Oddly enough, it was the change he needed. In before Ted Dibiase and Cameron Grimes have a money-off against him.
