Bandido did not come out of this week's AEW Rampage loss to Konosuke Takeshita unscathed.
The young star took to Facebook Saturday to say he suffered an injury to his left wrist during his Wednesday match that aired Friday. He said the first diagnosis was a triangular fibrocartilage complex injury that would require immediate surgery. However, he is going to get a second opinion on Monday.
According to one online medical resource, post-surgery recovery time can be up to three months that includes up to six weeks of wearing a stability brace while non-surgical recovery can also be up to three months depending on the severity of the tear.
After officially signing with AEW last November, Bandido returned to action for the promotion in April after several months off due to visa issues. He has mainly been working in trios matches with the Takeshita bout just his second singles match since returning.
Despite the visa problems, the 28-year-old remained active during his AEW absence, appearing in Australia, Mexico, and Belgium for several international promotions.
