In 2006, the fans overwhelmingly cheered for most of Cena's opponents. Especially his heel ones. A 2006 heel turn could have changed the entire Cena narrative. Oh well.

One of my favorite things about TEW, is you can do the stuff you know that needed and should have been done.

Russo trying to book every single person with a storyline etc was cool, but also made him burnout quickly. He was trying to do a million things a once. But at the time I dug it.

1998 is when Russo and Ferrera had the reigns almost completely by themselves so you see so many lower card guys evolve into interesting characters. Especially the Nation. Russo loved most of those guys so D'Lo, Mark Henry, Godfather, all get huge pushes and new characters. Rock gets the greatest turn in WWF history at Survivor Series. Val Venis debuts with a porn star gimmick. It's fuckin' great.

Yep. Russo was pretty much his sole champion. Which is why I laugh when people say he's racist. No one supported more black wrestlers.

I'm gonna actually book my show tonight. But I just cut a A LOT of people, and sent a lot of people to development also.As I had nothing for them. I went from like...140 active wrestlers...to 98.
