Dave Meltzer speculated on the latest episode of
Wrestling Observer Radio that
Jeff Jarrett's
TNA return could include a Hall of Fame induction. We noted before that they tried to get
AJ Styles for this year's induction but he turned them down.
Jarrett's return at last night's Impact Wrestling was obviously kept a big secret. There was no mention of his return in the script and no indication that a big segment would be happening. When
WWE has a big surprise like that planned, they leave a gap in their scripts for 10 minutes or however long the segment is going to run. TNA's script had no blank gaps for the Jarrett segment and had actual content written that had to be edited out.
Jarrett is expected to be around TNA a lot more after this Sunday's King of the Mountain match at the Slammiversary pay-per-view. There's a feeling within TNA that some sort of GFW invasion angle may be in the works but that's nothing confirmed, just a feeling backstage last night.
