The feeling backstage to WrestleMania was that HBK vs. The Undertaker stole the show, Ricky Steamboat looked great at his age, and that HHH vs. Randy Orton came off "poorly".

Some feel that they will work to get the title to Orton tonight. They could do it tonight or at the Backlash PPV in just under three weeks. Overall management was happy with attendance and gate figures, and the backstage mood was described as "good".

Although I still stand by the thought that I think WM as a whole was good last night, and I enjoyed it, after watching back the HHH-Orton match at lunch, I can see why people on here, and apparently WWE, considered it disappointing. Still liked the PPV, but the match should've had more.
I'd be pleased to see Orton get the belt somehow tonight, or Backlash. I was wanting Triple H to win last night, but I don't want him to keep the belt much longer. Dropping it tonight would be cool, although I sense they'll wait til Backlash.

Not these two fighting again? Ok let Orton win the damn title and stop these two from feuding. Im sick of it already lol. Cmon Orton has to go to smackdown next week now during draft. And yes that Wm 25 match sucked ass.

I find the fact terrible that Backlash is always a recap of WrestleMania.

And the WWE themselves realized that Orton/ HHH came off poorly at Mania. It's just because the feud was very well hyped but the match didn't come off as it was expected by many people. There wasn't the 'brutality factor' and no interesting spots in the match. It was like another RAW broadcast imo.

I agree with that completely. We'll see what happens tonight. I'm hoping that with the drtaft next week, it'll help to avoid all the rematches from Mania. There'll obviously be a coupel rematches, but hopefully the draft will lead to new feuds and matches for the next PPV.

I think that furthers the fact that we'll see a repeat with the draft. It's almost like a sendoff for the feud. The last time most of these guys will be on the same brand together so (to them) it makes sense to repeat the match once again.
And BTW...Orton is on the Backlash poster so I'de expect him to grab the title then.

The thing is, with the way Triple H dominated the match, which was in essence a squash, this feud is dead. That was as definitive a closing match as anyone will ever see. There was no interference, no ref bump, nothing to question who was the superior. Randy looked like a bitch, Trips looked like the rapist. No one is going to want to pay to see another match between the two after the way Trips fucked Randy dead in the Mania letdown. There's no feet to keep this feud running unless a McMahon turns on Camp Helmsley.

There was a ref bump...that's what led to the finish.
But anyway I'm sure Orton will go off the claim that HHH used the sledgehammer...should have been DQ'ed...yada yada....rematch at Backlash.

And BTW...good job replaying Trips COMPLETELY missed punt attempt.

^^ I meant a ref bump that would have added a little uncertainty to the finish, not one that led to a botched punt and then he recovering just in time to count the three after the pedigree. No priceless run in, no mcmahons, no nothing, it was almost a useless ref bump. Shoulda clarified a bit better.

Triple H had to use the sledgehammer to finish him.

^as usual in most of his wins at ppv's

Did I miss something?

Where did this bullshit spring from all of a sudden?

Not saying it's just you WL326 and I can't be arsed to check who posted what when, but I've seen such comments on here numerous times since Sunday night and it's quite apparrent some peeps are just looking for further excuses to shit on HHHs match... (Laughably your simply destroying an otherwise credible p.o.view attempting to 'amplify it' by talking crap.)

Aside from the hasty finish to the match with Ortion @ ONS last year I don't recall him finnishing a single match with a sledgehammer shot.

As for this year: no Sledgehammer action @ RR or NWOut either.

ehh im starting to get tired of this feud everytime i hear a match with these two. i highly doubt orton is gonna get the belt at backlash since batista .i guess it might happen at judgement day or extreme rules and so on *sighs*
