I've been saying that WWE needs to go back about 15 or so years in time and let people stat having more creative influence with their characters and promos and such. Some great ideas/gimmicks have come from guys coming up with it on their own. Austin (a guy who came up with pretty much his whole persona, which ended up drawing bazillions) talked about this in his book and has also openly criticized the WWE creative team on a couple of other occasions for tightly scripting almost everything.

Yeah, as said, a guy writes his own stuff and it works, obvious. Much, much better than reading from a script. Wrestlers need more liberty. And proof is that Vince Russo disagrees with that, so I'm right.

The people who know the gimmicks the most are the wrestler themselves. There needs to be a balance between scripts from creative and wrestler's own script. The way I see it, the creative and wrestlers need to work together more, be on the same page and everything.

I agree they should have more freedom SCSA being someone mentioned plus from that era Mick Foley as well yes Mankind was WWE idea but it was originally 'something the mutilator' cant remember the something. Plus all Foleys promos were his idea and they were just awesome.
