A new report has details on AEW broadcaster Jim Ross possibly making a return to WWE once his AEW deal expires at the end of this month

Jim Ross is apparently considering a return to WWE, reports Dr. Chris Featherstone (h/t WrestlingInc). Ross has been with AEW for the last several years, though recent health issues including a cancer diagnosis have limited his involvement recently.

According to the reports, there has been talk backstage in AEW that Ross wants to finish his career in WWE, and that his current AEW deal expires at the end of this month.

Ross will be part of the broadcast team for this Sunday’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, and the show may end up being his final one with AEW.

Ross is, of course, perhaps WWE’s most iconic announcer, having called most of the most legendary WWE matches from its Attitude Era.
