That and the WWE have a fetish for renaming just about everyone they can. They love to create names for people which they have exclusive rights to. Simply so they can't take the name with them upon their departure. Even if it means adding a letter...Tazz

I guess CM Punk is the only instance that this doesn't apply really.

Well that's a character name, not the dudes real name... Could be that if/when he leaves WWE that they will now retain the rights to the name or alternatively that they made a contractual exception for Punk knowing that he had a decent following when they signed him and thought it advantageous to build from the level at which he'd already established his character (rather than re-building him from scratch like they have done with so many of the guys they have debuted on ECW).

Sounds good, lets hope WWE use him well, but dont be throwing titles around willy nilly like they did to swagger XD
