New Slipknot!

Maybe it's just my inner hipster peeking out but Slipknot falls off hard for me after MFKR, the self-titled, and Iowa.

I'll always listen to new Slipknot to give it a shot, and there have been songs here and there that do it for me but it's very hit or miss. They released All Out Life which I liked a lot and hoped more stuff would sound like that but then it didn't. I think Red Flag was the only song I liked on their last album. Their staying power as a band after all this time is commendable though.

It's pretty crazy "growing up with a band". Back in my teenage years, I'd listen to Senses Fail talk about their troubled relationship with their parents and shit, and now I'm an adult listening to them talk about their fears regarding parenthood. It's pretty wild to think about. Awesome, emotional song though and awesome album.

Not sure how familiar you are with industrial so sorry if I'm not linking something new, but Godflesh are usually my go-to for a recommendation.



And if you're looking for something more in the veins of industrial drone/doom, P.H.O.B.O.S. are a band I love dearly and more people should know about
