They don't have to defend it that often... it's more about that they give them titles and then they kinda don't really know what to do with them, except for maybe one short after-win story, so they fizzle out quickly, while they start focusing on possible contenders instead.

Rhea is the same right now. She got the big hype from January until her Title win at Mania and afterwards it's like they just shrug and say "Now what?". It's nothing new. They've been doing that for some years now.

Is there anywhere that shows that information? I'd like to know how many times he has defended it. It seems like near the start he did defend it a little bit more, but as of late it just doesn't seem like it. Like this is the opposite side of my issue with title runs. A nice long title run doesn't mean much, if you're not really defending it. Which is why I think he just needs to drop it on Friday, and see what they can do with him. Because as a fan I want to see him doing better.
He had 10 defenses since he won it in November 22

I guess that's not as bad as I thought, that breaks down to about a defense a month. But it's probably like I said, where most of those are on the front half.

Ambrose had 15 defenses and he lost 9 of them. (7 via DQ, 1 via Count Out and then he lost the Title in a Battle Royal) :bosque

He did defend it almost every month at least once, yea. Except for March, but he defended it twice in February and twice in May.

His opponents also tell the story of a pretty good run, technically. I mean he did beat Rollins, Lashley, Edge, Cena and Sheamus for it. It's just, the components for an outstanding run are there, but I don't think most people would ever remember anything from this run and even with all the big names he beat, he didn't really grow. At least not since the first 2-3 months of this run.

Yeah, sadly that's true. despite some of the big names, it's not one of them runs that will be talked about really when talking about great title runs. I was hoping for more from it. More people probably will talk about his failed cash in for the US Title, than the title run that came a bit afterwards. I don't know, it might just be time to try a face run. I don't know how much that will help rebuild him. Have him drop the title, and then maybe have him off TV for a few weeks or so, then come back as a face. Sucks Johnny, Candice, and Indi are all over on Raw, because you know WWE always respect the brand split so he can't join back up with them and do The Way.

Honestly, like I said, I wouldn't mind if someone at WWE pays attention and they get him going again for a program with MVP, when he comes near MVP's number. Maybe they could even turn him (or start turning him) during that feud.

Also. Since he’s not in the independent scene anymore, this can be moved or maybe merged (I believe he’s got a thread there) for the superstars of wrestling forum thing. :lol ill see if I can find the other one
