on this forum, there is a lot of talk that you cannot understand what us Australians are saying. so if you can understand what im writing, im going to give you ten simple ways to understand our language.

1) we call everyone mate, even if we hate them
2) random words may appear in the middle of sentences; just ignore them
3) some of us attempt to be gangstas; no Aussies are actually gangstas
4) we overuse certain words, such as reckon
5) we join words together all of the time. eg. cocksucka
6) instead of using er to finish words, we use a for no reason: eg. gangsta
7) we are lazy, so we may only type every second word
8) we may randomly change the topic
9) we talk about bbq's a lot (barbeques)
10) every second word is a slang word that only the person who typed it understands.

now maybe you will find your inner Aussie, or at least half understand what we are talking about

Only too true. I'm 14 and I fulfill all of these, every day without fail... :3dflagsdotcom_austr
