Well, the wwe finally decided to pull him up. I certainly dont think it was that impressive of a debut, but the crowd was behind him. He's a great energy guy, but he's still green in the ring. I think personalty will be displayed better in the following weeks.

SO what are your thoughts of Atlas, love him? Hate him?

for those of u who didnt watch, atlas ortiz aka atlas dabone debuted on ecw tonight against armando. this guy looks like a giant carlito on crack lol. he seriously needed to calm down instead of shaking his head every which way. i wasnt all that impressed with him but he did ok for his debut match. he didnt get all that much offense in. hes actually pretty athletic for his size tho.

what do u think of him and do u think hes gonna get a push or is he gonna be soon forgotten?

I hate the fact that he was given the generic ROOKIE ROLL-UP OF DOOM for a finisher, and I thought he looked lost at certain points. With that said, he got the crowd behind him with ease, and it was only his first match. You could see he has potential (He sold the arm, throughout and after the match), but he needs to polish up on his in-ring work before he goes anywhere.

Idk, I think he may have some definite potential on ECW, considering how kinda crappy ECW is in the first place, but like i said, idk yet, give it some time, we'll see how this guy turns out in the wwe

I love this guy. Hopefully he doesent end up like Carlito. I saw him in a dark match at RAW and he had the heel role and pulled it off just as good face. This guy's money right here! ~Future Ortiz Mark~

i really didn't like the guy you don't have somebody who has the crowd behind him the whole time get the hell beaten out of him most of the match then win by a backslide. they just pushed him wrong in this debut match so unless they get the kid a finisher and a more dominating preformence he really shouldn't stay

He looks like Carlito.
He has a snitsky body shape (but with less body height).
He has Santino like tattoo! lol.

He is just a combination of others.. Not really impressed about him.

I wasn't impressed by him at all...his look was just ugh. And the only real impressive thing he did was that dropkick. Ortiz was rather sloppy in the ring, he screwed up 2-3 irish whips. He'll flutter out of the scene soon I think. Honestly they call this guy up over Cabana?

Totally agree with this. Although to be fair, we might see Colt in the coming weeks, thanks to the new "talent initiative" on ECW.

yeah and he reminded me a little of the Ultimate Warrior with all of his shaking.
i really wasnt impressed. it might have been because it felt like i was watching a crappy indy show but he just didnt seem that good. he has the look but i think he would be better off as a heel

I know what you guys mean about his wrestling ability, but the guy has charisma. The fans were chanting for him, in his debut match. The last person i can recall having that done was CM Punk. And im not talking about someone who jumped ship from wcw. He has almost as much personalty as Colt, and yes they both should be brought up to ECW.

Atlas was the top guy OVW.

I can Jay Bradley coming in soon too. He's a James Storm clone.

He has all the charisma, and his look is what got the fans behind him. WHen I saw him, I thought of a Wild Samoan or the suckier NBA Lopez brother. He probably will get better because of the guys that could help him in the ring like Finlay. I really want to see him on the mic, because that's what his best area is from what I hear.

His real name, Atlas Dabone, would be muich better IMO, it sounds like "al capone" and it sounds like amob name. Then they could give him the gimmick of like a mobster, from cuba or some shit, considering fromw hat Ive seen (a low quality video on youtube) he looks like that sort of.
