I'm just saying...most people like Goldberg and Lesnar matches. It draws money. Why wouldn't a wrester aspire to be like them? They are always at the top of the card making money. They make loads of people happy. They work extremely hard.

Why wouldn't you want to aspire to be like them? They are legit superstars. If you want to learn loads of technical moves and transitions/submissions, then you are wasting your time in professional wrestling. Take up a martial art. But if you want to be a superstar and entertain people, Goldberg and Lesnar are pretty good role models.

They draw money in spurts. Neither guy has been a sustainable draw lately in a long term situation. Goldberg could barely take any bump in his return, so instead of a wrestling match, they had to shock us with the quick victory. Was it entertaining? Absolutely. But it was nothing but a moment that could not be replicated or give any sustained success for WWE.

Lesnar draws money but he only wrestles a few times a year and with the price that they have to pay him for each appearance, it obviously isn't really worth it. If it were, WWE would be paying him to show up more often. But they're not, because he doesn't draw to the point where it's worth it to have him around all the time.

So if you aspire to be someone who barely wrestles and makes more money than the people who go out there and work their asses off by wrestling over 300 times a year, then go ahead. In my view, that's a pretty shitty role model. Lesnar doesn't care about you or any wrestling fan or wrestling at all. All he cares about is that paycheck he gets and nothing else. That's not a role model.

As much as I HATE to admit it, John Cena is a role model. Although he is part time now, for over 10 years he showed up and worked his ass off wrestling again and again and again. He helped sustain the business and he was a workhorse. Both Lesnar and Goldberg are lazy. They just want the paycheck by doing as little work as possible. If that is considered a role model, then we live in a sad, sad time.

I just can't see it happening. I reckon the streak will hold off till Ronda comes around. Like Jake said, this whole build is towards that IRRESISTIBLE FORCE VS IMMOVABLE OBJECT thing, but with women. Ronda vs Asuka, probably for the title. And that one will probably end the streak because like Foxy Pants mentioned, WWE will always portray Rousey as the 'legit' fighter and thus book her stronger than the 'entertainers'.

In a way they are saying their own form of sports is weaker than others (while it may be true) it's a shame they are portraying that image themselves.

Besides, Rousey brings them 'new' fans is what they believe so they will do anything to have them buy into the product and have Rousey go on a streak that rivals the one Asuka had to 'convert' the so-called new fans.

All this speculation about Ronda is pointless at
this time because...and I'm sick of saying it..

THE BITCH HASN'T WRESTLED A SINGLE MATCH YET!!!

I'll start to think about Asuka vs. Ronda & Charlotte vs. Ronda
when I've actually seen her wrestle...& that means once I've seen
her wrestle a 1 on 1 match with a skilled competitor...not some
bullshit mixed tag match which they're rumored to be booking for
this Wrestlemania.

Fuck this "Name Value Horseshit" It means nothing to me!

Either get in the ring & wrestle someone...or FUCK OFF!

We can still talk about her...

Ronda has never had a match yet. That's worth saying. But we can still talk about our ideas. Ya know what I mean? P

Yeah...I know...Sorry for the minor flip out...

I guess I'm just tired of the speculation...and no matter
what happens...all of our speculations will probably be
be better than what the WWE ends up booking.

Besides the WWE already has a former female MMA
fighter doing great things in NXT...her name is Shayna
Baszler & she's kind of awesome.

You may not care but for better or (most probably) worse, Vince does. And at the end of the day it is all that matters.

Well...yeah...that kind of goes without say Captain Obvious...

& I guess by that statement your happy to go along with and
support all the booking choices made by the WWE?

Because Vince made those choices?

Someone takes these discussions wayyyy too seriously.

I don't need to agree with something to be objective about it. You should try it.

Nia will defeat Asuka and then win the title at Wrestlemania because she is not like most girls, she is the Rocks cousin, and WWE wants to push a plus size female wrestler so that little girls that watch WWE will feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Oh my God...I can't believe you just posted that.

Such a pathetic, cop out response bro...

Seriously...

Well, it was pretty clear you were getting heated - bro.

And I like how you missed the part below that where I did explain my stance. Well done. :curt:

I am not copping out of anything, I explained my reasons and my stance and I did it with a tempered manner. If you'd like to talk or discuss, then I'd be happy to debate as adults. When someone starts getting snide, I rather not bother talking to them because well, why the heck would I?

Anyways, staying on Topic, which is wrestling.

Nia definitely shouldn't be the one to break the streak, she needs more time in NXT before she gets any sort of push because as meh (not saying the men are doing any better) as the division is, having a champion that is legit dangerous to others will hardly help the division.

Like others have said, I see their match going the way their NXT match did. Maybe just shorter this time.

Not saying Nia CANT win. It's WWE. But really, she shouldn't. When someone finally gets that rub it should be someone with credible in-ring skills.

Dude...stop taking this discussion wayyyy too seriously.

Oh...and I apologize for being passionate about wrestling...
I wasn't aware that I was caring too much.

ANYWAY...

So...my brain just coughed again & I have another idea I need to
hang up by the neck so everyone can throw rotten vegetables at it.

Now...hear me out with this one...

Ronda Rousey is signing her RAW contract this Sunday (I mean
she could be used to increase the rating on SmackDown but that's
the B Show so fuck that idea right WWE?) & Asuka is facing Nia Jax.

And I think I've worked out the perfect way to set up a future match
between the two...whenever that happens down the line.

Now...Ronda decided to show up & steal Asuka's spotlight at the
Rumble...so why not have Asuka do the same thing to Ronda this
Sunday?

Have Asuka come out (full entrance) & confront Ronda after she's
signed her contract & possibly cut a promo...simply have the 2 of
them stare each other down...and finally after like 5 minutes of
intense staring...Ronda goes to leave but Asuka attacks her.

Have the 2 of them exchange a few shots before Asuka goes for
the Asuka lock...only to have Ronda counter it slapping Asuka
in some kind of Judo choke hold (I don't know Judo sorry).

As Asuka struggles to free herself...Nia's music hits as she stalks
her way down to the ring but showing some smarts keeps her distance.

Eventually Ronda chokes Asuka out & releases her from the hold
as Nia makes her move, motioning for a referee as Ronda leaves.

The bell if rung, the match begins...Nia drags Asuka into position &
hits a couple of leg drops...& 1, 2, 3.

The streak is over...instant & insane levels of heat between Asuka
& Ronda & Nia finally gets to do something important on the main
roster while setting up something HUGE for the future with what
could be one of the biggest moments in the WWE in recent years.

Asuka challenges & defeats Charlotte at Wrestlemania moving the
Empress to SmackDown putting distance between herself & Ronda
which will allow for a slow build towards a Survivor Series 2018 match
or a title match at Wrestlemania 35.

In the meantime you could draft both Shayna Baszler & Kairi Sane to
the main roster & book a Ronda/Shayna vs. Asuka/Kairi tag match
at one of the other big 4 pay per views over the next 12 months.

Ugh...DONE!

And I honestly thought the WWE would try to counter the "predictable" pay
per view tag by having Nia win by DQ/Count out...but they didn't...and for that
I'm glad.

Shame Alexa had to retain but...
