Pros: In the end, most things are covered, such as basic check ups and when I need to go to the emergency room, it isn't as expensive. As well, while I may not always need it, there is someone out there who is benefiting. While there are sometimes long waits, in the end, we are covered and the services are available.
Cons: There are some things where we are not covered in such as dentistry, the eye doctors, and other things. As well there is the issue where there are fewer people being born, with the baby boomers getting old and therefore, less money going in, but there can be legislation that can fix it.
Overall, while not purrfect, I say other states should adopt it in some way. It's fairly common already. Honestly, the affordable healthcare act is a start in the right direction but it needs to be fine-tuned more because there are problems with it, but if done right, it can be great.
