Half a years salary sounds very severe. If Hemme felt uncomfortable with the entire thing I can understand but taking half the mans yearly pay will be a big blow to him.

Somehow I feel like Spike is pushing this thing a bit. They are known for having a very solid and unmoveable policy about presenting violence on women or situations which can be interpreted as violent or threatening for women.

She could have changed her mind. Adrenaline makes people do stuff they did no intend. It is fully possible that she once the show was over and got to sat down realized she was not okay with what happened.

Again this is a situation blown entirely out of proportion but look at all sides of it before casting judgement.

Are you sure that it is Hemme that is pushing for that punishment? SPIKE has a very strict policy about man on woman violence or threatening situations towards women in their programming. This could just as well be Spike pushing for this punishment. Don't go on a witch hunt until you have all the facts.

The only thing Hemme has said publicly about this situation is that it was "uncomfortable" and then thanking people who tweeted her positive messages.

I'm not saying this isn't a stupid situation. But people seem awfully quick to throw all the dirt on Christy.
