There is a difference.
Pro-wrestling is typically described as "lame" because it aims to be real when behind the scenes it is not. It is similar to when you were 6 and pushed a heap of Matchbox cars along the floor, pretending that the scene is a grand prix or rally weekend, whatever.
Watching two men dressed in "modified budgie smugglers" or lycra, covered in oil and manhandling each other in all sorts of positions probably raises a few eyebrows as well.
I'm not really a wrestling fan - don't have any merchandise or watched any live PPVs, and if I had not subscribed to cable I probably wouldn't give two shits about it. I just enjoy roleplaying in general.
I don't have the time or want to use the brainpower to be embarrassed about it.
