Are WWE fans aware there's more to the schedule than just RAW, Smackdown and pay per views ?

Most people think what these wrestlers do is easy because they just see them twice or three times a week on TV but in reality they're working every day of the year, there are wrestling events all the time but they're not televised live, or up and coming wrestlers you wouldn't know about unless you're in the arena before and after the show. And most fans rip on Brock Lesnar, Batista, The Rock and Goldberg for wrestling part time. I don't blame them, they have to risk everything every day and night and could lose their careers in an instant. That'll make you think twice about taking these guys for granted because they're famous stars on TV, completely forgetting they're human beings.

I didn't know for awhile but after I found out, I thought it was crappy they never gave them time off. House shows, guest appearances, conventions, charity, etc... No wonder many of them choose not to have kids. Then you have the matches before and after every weekly show along with autograph signings and special guests or make a wish kids... it is a lot.

I wasn't until I did some research when I returned to wrestling...
& frankly I think the WWE performers are overworked.

I know they get paid & its their job...but I just think there are
too many "house/live" shows & all the "Wear & Tear" eventually
gets to everyone on the roster...and we all know how devastating
an injury can be to a performers career...especially at the wrong
time.

I learned about it when I was 12 maybe and always wondered why they didn't get some time off. Like I know WWE is a business but asking talent to travel hundreds of miles a week, stay fit, and meet basic sleep requirements can take its toll.

But it's all worth it when you get put on TV to job out to a part-timer lol :emoji_thumbsup:

"300 days a year"

The amount of times I have heard that on TV. Plus WWE Live events are consistently advertised on Raw/SD/Main Event rerun shows.

Its roughly the equivalent of working 6 days a week without regular hours and always travelling.

No wonder some of them like Japan/NXT/Indies/Impact or have the leverage to get a part time deal.

That schedule though may be more dangerous than the "high risk" New Japan style. Think I would rather get bladed a couple of times a year than take those bumps week in and out.

When I see stuff like this I picture being AJ Styles, who had a year of untouchable ring work and since then has been merely "good". Picturing a week of SD Tuesday hop on a plane house show Thursday travel again house show Friday hop back on the bus PPV Sunday (where there isn't enough pre-planning or time for the performers to mentally prepare themselves for a special performance) back on the road for TV on Tuesday and repeat the same cycle for, in AJ's case, 2 1/2 years. It really must take its toll on you mentally and physically.

Even If it Isn't WWE, Other Company's like Independent Wrestling. Whether its KY or OH o any other state. They all share the business. I've talked to some Guys I knew as A Kid and all the hours they and every day wrestling seriously took a toll on them. They need more time off in my opinion

Yes, almost all if not all WWE fans are aware of this. I mean how many times do they shove the Network down people's throat talking about the 24 specials, Total DIvas/Bellas, Table for 3, and so forth. I mean everyone knows now WWE is less about Wrestling and more about documentaries, reality TV, and straight to DVD/Blu-ray movies or whatever. So of course they, WWE and their "enterainers" because you can't wrestlers, do more things then just Wrestle because WWE wants to be seen like a production like NBC or whatever.
