Okay I've finished the promo finally. Definitely the best stuff Rock's done since came back and holy fuck he did really good filling in the plot holes. I'm more impressed bc I never expected he would be the one to do that, I thought Cody would in some promo that was hopefully good but probably not super logical. But it's way better this way, as long as the promo makes TV for those parts so everyone hears it.

It also kills any of those WCW 2000 "Cody went off script" vibes that press conference was giving. He didn't go off the script, he just changed his mind on what he and Rock discussed bc he realized Rock was being selfish and taking his spot in kayfabe. Which was my head canon already but it's nice it's official lol
