Thing is people who like sports like football, boxing or Tennis for example are already catered for elsewhere so if you are going to watch the Olympics then why not watch other sports and just enjoy them for what they are doesn't mean you have to follow them outside of the Olympics.
I am not very sporty, but with the Olympics in London this year I am excited and will follow as much of it as I can. Think my favourite events are Swimming, Running and maybe Netball.
