I know I am getting excited for June to come! When this month comes it will be time for the summer games again! Is anyone else getting excited for these games or am I the only one who is really getting ready for them? What is your favorite event? Mine has to be the 100 meter dash because you get to see the runners take off and 10 seconds later the race is over, without waiting for the end for hours on end!

I haven't cared about the Olympics since high school where a couple of people might actually bring it up.

The sports I like (boxing & football) are too watered down in the Olympics.

Prol go down London just for the buzz though.

Honestly... I haven't cared bout the olympics since it was up in ATL. I mean now I'lkl look at the 100 meter sprint, 200 meter, I might watch a little of the basketball and a little of the soccer. Other than that I could careless for the olympics. Just doesn't have any real appeal.

I love the Olympics, I watch it religiously every four years and even though I am from Australia and have never seen snow I watch the Winter Olympics every four years as well. I can't wait for July to come around so that it is back again, I always get caught up in the hype and it is such a great event. All the best athletes from all over the world competeting to find out who is the best. It is great because you have tiny, poor countries that are able to compete with the rich giants because it is a level playing field.

I can watch practically any event but swimming (I am Australian so that has to be my top choice), cycling and athletics are my top three.

I will at least set up a subforum in the International Sports section for this event and it would be set up so that for any games, Summer, Winter or Commenwealth can be discussed there.

I'm bloody excited, mainly cause I live right next to London. The world is visiting and it's going to be nuts. As for sports, I'll watch anything that is decent on TV. I've got tickets to an evening of Women's Hockey (A sport which I've hardly ever played) but just being there is going to be banging. I'm seeing USA vs. New Zealand and Germany vs. Argentina. I've been to the park a few times and I can't wait to see what it's going to be like full. PLUS - the added excitement of English, Welsh, Northern Irish and Scottish players all in the same team for the football.

I am jealous. I was only a kid when the Olympics was held in Sydney and we couldn't go over to any of the events as it was in another state. I would love to attend an Olympics but unfortunately it will probably be many decades before it comes back to Australia. I would take off the two weeks and attend as many events as possible.

Didn't even see this thread, I'm hyped, my dad lives in London just round the corner from Wembley Stadium so I'll probably spend the summer there and try to attend a few events. I always watch the olympics every 4 years so I'm happy that it's finally coming to England.

Only sports I'm interested in are barely covered.

I want to watch Amatuer wrestling and see if Carol Hyun will take the gold again. I want to watch Judo, but never see it.

Can't stand that watered down boxing.
