About the current landscape of the WWE?

  • Bryan is finally champ after the long struggling storyline
  • HHH & Steph are in full blown heel mode and owning shit up
  • The Shield have been turned face and their run has obviously extended because of it
  • Evolution reforming
  • Cesaro aligning with Heyman and presumably inline for a big push
  • Bray seemingly living up to his potential
Just seems like there's so much good shit happening at the minute and I hope it's sustained and it's not just the post WrestleMania fallout.

Been feeling like this for awhile honestly. Quality dipped a bit between SummerSlam and TLC, but for the most part, WWE's been fucking awesome the past year or so. Sure they still have their shit, but no era was without that.

Sustainability is all I care about right now. All of this could end up going right down the drain... but I love so much of what they're doing right now and hope the payoff is to come. I still have a problem with the burial of Sandow and the underutilization of guys like Miz/Dolph who probably SHOULD be a tag team. I don't like that we also had a tag division for a while and then they just scrapped 80% of it all.

I'm from the internet, it's time to say that Daniel Bryan is overrated, CM Punk is god and nothing was his fault. Everyone who ever was in ROH does a job on TV is being buried and Triple H and Stephanie are like their characters even though I've never met them.

I've been enjoying for awhile, been telling people to wait until Mania, slow burn, bigger picture......since Summerslam I believe.

You don't actually think it was intended to be a slow burn for Bryan since the start, do you? Him being put in the main event was clearly a knee jerk reaction to Batista's flat return. Maybe you're just joking... it's kind of hard to know with you sometimes.

Outside of the Wyatt feud, who else has been the focal point of the Authority storyline? Sure we can say it was a knee jerk reaction, but why even make Bryan the last guy left in the Chamber getting screwed over AGAIN?

I still stand by the theory that it was between knee jerk reaction and planned all along. If Batista would have been over hugely against Orton they would have kept Bryan/HHH without the triple threat possibility, but they had the plan all along (At least after the Rumble when Batista was booed so bad), that they could work Bryan into it if they needed to.

I've been enjoying Bray Wyatt and how they've been using him. They are doing such a good job with him right now. Just hope they can keep it up and not let that momentum he still has fade.

But I did want them to team up Ziggler and Miz. I thought they were supposed to become a team and everything. Guess they decided to drop that angle.

But overall... WWE has been pretty decent. I've been kinda enjoying it.

I have to agree with this because Batista even said in similar words that Vince wanted him to come back as the big babyface that everyone supposedly wanted.

But Bryan is the champion now, even if it's a knee jerk reaction why feel the need to asterisk it?

They adapted, and made a better product as a result, but still can't say Bryan wasn't one of the major focal points of WWE since Summerslam.

Only reason I can think of is because it would mean that the fans "changed" something and got their opinion heard enough to add him into the 'Mania match. Which would be pretty cool, but I doubt that's what happened.

Fans put Bret Hart over Lex Luger in 94, fans made Steve Austin into the biggest babyface of all time, fans turned Superstar Billy Graham....That isn't anything new. And todays fans should get over themselves if they think they did something that has never been done before imo.

Still don't really think it does Bryan any favors by bringing up Batista's "failed" face return. Because it;s basically say "Yeah, well they had to give him the title". and totally negates the fact that he worked his ass off to get there. Knee jerk reaction is putting the title on Eric Young with no buildup towards. Daniel Bryan has been built for this since Team Hell No.

In the current Power Slam Ernie Santilli makes some excellent points about the fans and the power they have compared with years gone by, and no I don't work for them:hhh2: but its a great read none the less...
