The latest UFC fighter to tease a jump over to WWE is Roy "Big Country" Nelson.

Nelson told MMAWeekly that after he wins his upcoming fight Saturday on UFC 146:

“After I beat Pee Wee, I might just have to call out Brock Lesnar. I might just have to go to WWE because I might just have to call him out, go to WWE, and whoop his ass.â€￾

Nelson also commented on King Mo signing with TNA wrestling

"I'm actually ecstatic. It couldn't have happened to a better man. I think it opens a lot of doors for a lot of different fighters, and it actually opens up a lot of fighter's eyes that there's other ways to make a living, that you can actually do both sports."

I don't watch much MMA but I know who the guy is and he looks to have talent and I think he would make a good character in the WWE. But I think he would need to lose a bit of weight before WWE show interest in him. He hasn't got a Brock Lesnar frame. I don't really think he was being serious here though.

Also, one may be a good UFC fighter, but that does not mean you will have the skills necessary to be a good sports entertainer.

He will remind me strongly of Trevor Murdoch if he comes to WWE with his country look.

I'd like to see that fat piece of garbage call out Brock in UFC first and get killed.

He has a marketable character, already has his gimmick really. I think he could be a decent draw if built up good, he's got the charisma, but I'm not going to say he could be a star without any training yet.

This only helps WWE if this is the case. Honestly, these kind of things take away from MMA, if these fighters are loved and all.

This would be a terrible move and it's not needed. Plus I'm pretty sure not many people in the front office even know him. If you want to bring in any more large people, just get Samoa Joe damn it!

I'd have loved to have seen them in the UFC, I reckon Roy could have taken him.

:roy: for WHC.

If Junior couldn't finish Roy, Brock damn sure wouldn't have done shit on his feet. Not to mention Brock dropping like a sack of spuds when he gets hit with a significant shot.

This doesn't even sound legit just mentioning competition he could have had. Brock was on his mind and he knew where Brock went. I don't see anything serious coming of this. I barely know who this guy is.

Roy Nelson just sounds like a big WWE fan, I doubt that he would seriously consider a move to WWE. Especially since he had an awesome KO finish tonight on PPV, he still has a bit to do in UFC before he leaves there.

Yeah Nelson isn't close to leaving UFC at this point.

BUT if he were to attempt to make the cross he would actually do pretty well. He is very marketable, he has a good character/gimmick going for him, he could be easily embraced by the fans.

And as far as if Brock would have met Big Country in the UFC... yeah Brock could have taken him down but Nelson would have whooped him. He could have KO'd him with a big shot or he would have tapped him out. Don't be fooled, Nelson is a grappling champion and a black belt in bjj. The guy can do it all and is as durable as they come. Brock would break down.

One thing about Roy Nelson is I can't see him doing too well in the actual wrestling aspect of wrestling because he isn't really a high intensity fighter. Yes he is a good wrestler in UFC but that doesn't translate as well to WWE since they work at a much faster pace most of the time. Roy Nelson running the ropes would be a sight to see.
