Changed modern day wrestling forever and created an unheard of, never seen again boom in wrestling...not year 1 material?

Me after hearing Grim's inflammatory and blasphemous accounts in this thread. Replace WWF with WS.

I used the top half of my list to nominate more "fundamental" picks and the second half was more for my personal preferences. Though, I don't think I nominated anyone that wasn't completely worthy.

So is the aim of this to create a Hall of Fame that represents what the members of WS belive to be the top wrestlers of all time (in order that lurkers can see what the members of the board consider to be good wrestlers) - or is it to have a Hall of Fame with the usual suspects (Hogan, Andre, Austin, Flair Michaels etc)....

To further point out why I don't think the nWo deserve to go in: Why would you put a stable into a Hall of Fame in its first go around? Even if it's the nWo, just nominate Hogan ffs. He made the whole thing work anyways.

Id say Hogan, Hall, and Nash all 3 made it work tbh.

Hogan made it a bigger deal than if it were anyone else. Sure, argue Sting, but I'm not in the business of arguing what-ifs at this juncture. Just nominate Hogan ffs.

I'm honestly not a fan of Hogan(shocking I know with how I've pushed him in TEW) outside of his nWo run. So, I wouldn't put Hogan on my list :side: without it being nWo.

He's the 1-3rd biggest star in wrestling history. Irregardless your like or dislike of him, he deserves the HOF.

meh. maybe. But so does nWo. They helped create the boom period of the 90s. Hogan played a huge part in it, but it wouldn't have worked IMO without Hall or Nash either. The 90s might not have got anywhere near as huge as it did without them. Yeah, wrestling wouldn't have got as big without Hogan for sure. Plus honestly he's going to be on enough list without having to be on mine anyway.

The 90's as a whole is overrated, coming from a 90's kid. Fight me.

Hulk Hogan 100% deserves to be in the Hall of Fane by himself, but if I had to choose between him or the nWo first, I’m going nWo first every single time. They’re one of the biggest reasons I’m the fan I am today.

This is going to have to be one of them times we agree to disagree. That was what I grew up on, what got me into wrestling(I could've gotten into it if I was born sooner but we'll never know)

Some of my list is honestly people I felt some might forget about, and some are people I'm sure are on peoples list as well. I gave love to the pre 90s by the way, Gorilla Monsoon is on my list. Where he did a bit in the 90s, it was all before I was old enough to remember. But he's someone who 100% is a Hall of Famer. Not sure who all put him on their list but I wanted to make sure he got the love he deserves. Hogan not being on my list won't stop him from getting in.

I would say the former, as this is WS' Hall of Fame, but I would imagine most of the usual suspects would get in at some point.
