Yeah that's why I said they just need to go over promo material with a neutral party before segments bc this is twice now that's happened over what i think are innocent lines (the first being Punk getting all mad about Hangman)

But Eddie himself has said he overreacted and was just in a bad place that day and shouldn't have done anything....and he let Sammy call him it just a couple weeks later too

Indeed, that is what it was. He was blinded sided by it and thought Sammy was shooting on him.

It’s the fact that Kingston did it and Sammy just kinda took.

I just happened to think of this. AEW could never really book Sammy as this super tough, badass because people, including Twitter and Reddit, would chant or poke fun at this incident and the Eddie one.
