Regardless of what people think of AJ, a lot of people like how technically sound a wrestler like Natalya is but she's never utilized in matches anymore either. Instead a talented wrestler like Natalya is also put in a romantic storyline with another Superstar. Both AJ and Natalya are in romantic storylines right now when they could easily be in the ring.

She can't "wrestle" if Creative isn't putting her in matches. Right now she has a storyline she's in with Ziggler that the WWE wants her to be in. She's had COUNTLESS interviews where she says she loves being in the ring but she's taking what they're giving her right now. It's been her dream to be a wrestler since she was young so she's grateful to be in the company.

And if you paid an ounce of attention you'd have seen her past matches (even prior to NXT) and would know that she can hold her own in the ring and has some impressive moves. Just because she's not being featured right now on the show in the ring doesn't mean she can't wrestle.

That also why that want to turn layla heel b/c she the only diva that good enough to fend wih shit Kanila for the diva title.
