They've avoided the two feuds which could have potentially been Punk's true breakout feuds. Orton punted Punk resulting in him losing the title...nothing happened. Jericho won Punk's title..nothing happened.

When Jericho won Punk's WHC I actually thought there would have been a great feud there...but again the WWE dropped thje ball like they have so many times.
Dumb moves by WWE for not having a Punk/Jericho or Punk/Orton fued, what made it even dumber was that Punk was the top face of RAW during Cena's recovery from his injury at that time.
I wonder how much status on RAW that Punk would've had if he fueded with Orton or vice versa with Jericho. Such a damn shame and a huge opportunity of a great fued.

Indeed they would have been great fueds, but ya gotta figure with where Orton & Jericho have been since, Punk would have gone on to lose Think of it as a protective strategy. They DID have Orton/Punk one-on-one on Raw and Orton/Priceless heeled for the win. Then he ended up having a mid-card title reign, a sweeeeet PPV match with Rey and a pretty decent 6 months since in general anyway. He'll be ok.... They just have him 'on ice' atm.
It's not dropping the ball at all.
Punk's beef was with Orton for putting him out of the match (and rightly so)... Jericho played no part in Punk's undoing. He'd already lost the title by virtue of not being able to contend/defend.

Airfixx hit the nail on the head. Punk would've stood no chance if he was to enter into a program with Orton or Jericho.
