Main event: Kaito Kiyomiya, Kento Miyahara & Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Kazuchika Okada, Kenoh & Yuma Aoyagi
All Together might be a celebration of the unifying power of professional wrestling, but there will be a distinctly unfriendly encounter in Ryogoku when Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kento Miyahara and Kaito Kiyomiya face Kenoh, Yuma Aoyagi and Kazuchika Okada.
When All Together Again was first announced at a special press conference last month, Kaito Kiyomiya of NOAH, Kento Miyahara of AJPW and Hiroshi Tanahashi of NJPW would all be on hand to represent their respective promotions. Three headline faces for each group, as well as three generations of wrestlers in their 20s, 30s and 40s respectively, the trio presented a fitting embodiment of the All Together spirit. With all driven to make the event a major success, and all smiles ready for the press conference cameras, it seemed right for these charismatic fan favourites to unite in Ryogoku.
Their opposition on June 9 adds a healthy dose of chaos to the mix. One can’t talk about Kaito Kiyomiya in 2023 for better or for worse without mentioning Kazuchika Okada. After their wild fight in Yokohama Arena this January led to a violent display of superiority for the Rainmaker int he Tokyo Dome in February, it’s been a long few months, but now Kiyomiya and Okada will go face to face again in Sumo Hall. With Kiyomiya’s entry into G1 Climax 33 now confirmed, the young prospect will be looking to make a mark on Okada whether or not the two draw the same block for the tournament of tournaments.
Along with Okada will be Yuma Aoyagi. NJPW fans may remember Yuma’s younger brother Atsuki for his impressive main event performance at All Star Junior Festival earlier this spring, but All Japan fans will have their eyebrows raised at New Generation teammates Aoyagi and Miyahara on opposite sides of the ledger in Ryogoku. Then there’s the matter of ill feeling between NOAH and All Japan that stemmed from the New Generation teaming with Suwama against Kongo in the Tokyo Dome in February. Indeed, Kenoh is one half of the current AJPW World Tag team Champions alongside Manabu Soya, having defeated the team of Naoya Omura and, yes, Kenoh’s teammate tonight in Yuma Aoyagi. Competition is sure to be fierce, and not just between the two teams in what could well become the main event June 9.
9th Match: Amakusa, Atsuki Aoyagi & Hiromu Takahashi vs Hayata, Rising Hayato & Master Wato
A collection of junior all stars from all three companies will see Amakusa of NOAH, AJPW’s World Junior Heavyweight Champion Atsuki Aoyagi and Hiromu Takahashi face Best of the Super Jr. winner Master Wato, GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion Hayata and Rising Hayato. With All Together Again taking place just five short days after Dominion, Wato and Hiromu will both be excited at the prospect of picking up where they left off in Osaka Jo Hall.
Wato will also have keen memories of pinning current AJPW World Junior Champion Aoyagi in Korakuen Hall at the All Star Junior Festival back in march. Tonight is a chance to continue that situation, with young AJPW star Rising Hayato also in the mix. Meanwhile Hiromu’s reconnection with an old friend in Amakusa was one of many junior heavyweight stories of the early spring, and they’ll be looking to put NOAH’s Hayata in his place in a match with plenty of moving parts.
8th Match: Just 5 Guys (TAKA Michinoku, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & SANADA) vs Good Looking Guys (Tadasuke, Yo-Hey & Jake Lee)
NJPW and NOAH’s fast rising factions of 2023 collide when IWGP World Heavyweight Champion brings his J5G crew of TAKA Michinoku and Yoshinobu Kanemaru to face the GLG side of Tadasuke, Yo-Hey and the GHC Heavyweight Champion Jake Lee. Last time SANADA and Lee were sharing a ring, it was Christmas Day in 2022, when SANADA, then part of Los Ingobernables De Japon teamed with Lee and Yuma Aoyagi to face Atsuki Aoyagi, Kento Miyahara and SANADA’s current teammates Taichi and Kanemaru. That match went to a 30 minute draw, but tonight SANADA will want to show his superiority as the top champion in professional wrestling.
7th Match: Los Ingobernables De Japon (BUSHI, Shingo Takagi & Tetsuya Naito) vs Yuma Anzai, Suwama & Yuji Nagata
Another six man tag will see Los Ingobernables De Japon’s BUSHI, Tetsuya Naito and Shingo Takagi face All Japan Pro-Wrestling in the form of Suwama, Yuma Anzai and Yuji Nagata. At AJPW’s recent Champion Carnival final event in Ota, Naito and BUSHI tagged to face 23 year old rising superstar Anzai and Kento Miyahara; tonight, Anzai will continue to represent the new generation of AJPW talent alongside a near two decade stalwart of All Japan in Suwama and the current Triple Crown Champion in Yuji Nagata. For Tetsuya Naito, Suwama’s presence brings added poetry to the situation, with the imposing AJPW star being one of El Ingobernable’s opponents on the last All Together card back in 2012. Meanwhile the All Japan roster as a whole was none too pleased with Yuji Nagata’s Triple Crown victory earlier this year having come in from NJPW, and one has to wonder whether promotional pride could be an impediment rather than a motivator for Suwama and Anzai in Ryogoku.
6th Match: United Empire (Francesco Akira, TJP, Aaron Henare, Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb) vs Rei Saito, Jun Saito, Ryuki Honda, Hikaru Sato & Dan Tamura
Ten man tag team action will pit United Empire against a cross factional AJPW force. Jun and Rei Saito of long running AJPW faction Voodoo Murders combine with Ryuki Honda of the Gungnir of Anarchy, and two men in Hikaru Sato and Dan Tamura that United Empire’s Francesco Akira was familiar with in tag battles while competing for All Japan at the start of the decade. With Akira having trained with the Saito brothers in AJPW’s Dojo as well, in the face of a disparate side from All Japan, United Empire will likely look to stamp an authoritative mark on Ryogoku.
5th Match: Strong Style (El Desperado, Minoru Suzuki & Ren Narita) vs Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura & Junta Miyawaki
Strong Style’s Ren Narita, El Desperado and Minoru Suzuki face NOAH’s Naomichi Marufuji, Takashi Sugiura and Junta Miyawaki. Desperado and Suzuki have a lot of previous with Marufuji and Sugiura going back to Suzuki-Gun’s reign of terror in NOAH between 2015 and 2017, while Miyawaki and Narita will be more than happy to represent the new generations of their respective companies in what’s sure to be an explosive and hard hitting battle.
4th Match: Hokuto Omori & Shuji Ishikawa vs AXIZ (Go Shiozaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima)
Recently reunited under AXIZ as Katsuhiko Nakajima left former factional home Kongo earlier in the spring, Nakajima and perennial NOAH ace Go Shiozaki face Hokuto Omori and long time powerful face of AJPW, Shuji Ishikwa. Omori and Ishikawa have traded wins one on one in recent months, but can they put up a strong united front against the combined AXIZ force?
3rd Match: Shota Umino vs Yoshitatsu
A first time ever singles clash pits Shota Umino opposite ‘World Famous’ Yoshitatsu of All Japan. 2002 Dojo class member Yoshitatsu faces the 2022 excursion returnee Umino, as the Roughneck looks to show the strength of New Japan’s youth movement int he face of the AJPW veteran.
2nd Match: TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr. & Kosei Fujita) vs Sean Legacy & Chris Ridgeway
TMDK’s Zack Sabre Jr. and Kosei Fujita will take on rising international NOAH stars in Chris Ridgeway and Sean Legacy at All Together Again. Ridgeway and ZSJ reunite after they traded wins in UK rings back in 2018, with both looking to show the benefit of half a decade’s extra experience. Meanwhile Sean Legacy, a new face to NOAH having debuted back in April, will likely be tested by Fujita, whose momentum (and some might say, head) has only grown bigger since pinning Gedo in tag action recently in Yoyogi.
1st Match: CHAOS (YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto & Tomohiro Ishii) vs Yoshiki Inamura, Daiki Inaba & Masa Kitamiya
Kicking off the main card of All Together Again is a clash between Pro-Wrestling NOAH’s heavyweights and CHAOS. Bishamon will head to Ryogoku five days removed from their IWGP Tag Team Championship challenge at Dominion, and are joined by Tomohiro Ishii to take on Masa Kitamiya, Daiki Inaba and Yoshiki Inamura. Back in January at Yokohama Arena, a tag team match for Ishii and Oskar Leube against Inaba and Kitamiya ended in a wild brawl between Ishii and Kitamiya that spread to the backstage area. Now another powerhouse in Inaba joins the mix for NOAH to present strong competition for a former NEVER Openweight 6 man Tag Team Championship side.
Kickoff Match: Ryo Inoue, Black Mensore, YOH & Ryusuke Taguchi vs Super Crazy, Alejandro, Seiki Yoshioka & Atsushi Kotoge
Before the main card starts at 6PM local, a free kickoff will see junior heavyweights from AJPW and NJPW combine against NOAH. The All and New Japan side are known for having their fun in the ring, but with promotional pride at stake, this is no laughing matter for the NOAH team.
